The purpose of the Kitchen Volunteer role is to support the smooth running of the café by helping to provide a welcoming, safe, and high-quality experience for people attending our day centre, The Beacon and visiting staff.
Volunteers play an important part in creating a positive environment where individuals - many of whom may be affected by dementia - can enjoy their meals with dignity, comfort, and social interaction. By assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness, volunteers help foster a sense of community, inclusion, and care within the café setting.
This role requires you to be based in our office in Northfleet.
