The Beacon Dementia Day Centre provides structured, person-centred support for people living with dementia in a safe, stimulating, and compassionate environment. The service promotes wellbeing, independence, social inclusion, and meaningful engagement through tailored activities and peer connection.
As a Dementia Day Centre Volunteer, you will support staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred activities that enhance cognitive stimulation, emotional wellbeing, and social interaction. You will help create an inclusive environment where dignity, choice, and individuality are upheld at all times.
You will contribute to a culture of respect, safeguarding, and compassionate support in line with best practice guidance, including the principles of the Mental Capacity Act, person-centred care frameworks, and dementia-inclusive practice.
