At ADSS we don't just support people with dementia, we also support the professionals who care for them.

A favourite activity. A familiar routine. Being welcomed by people who know you. As dementia progresses, these everyday experiences can help people hold on to their identity and enjoy life in ways that matter to them.
Our support starts with the person: their interests, relationships, choices and what makes a good day for them. Through our day centres, community activities and care at home, we help people continue taking part as their needs change.
At The Beacon Day Centre, meaningful activities and friendships give people opportunities to contribute, connect and have fun. Through Beacon Buddies, members share games, crafts and stories with local schoolchildren, building friendships across generations.
In 2025/26, 117 people attended The Beacon, with 4,054 attendances. Behind every visit is time spent enjoying company, receiving specialist care and being recognised as a person beyond their diagnosis.
One carer captured what this means: “My wife is always smiling when I come to pick her up from day club.”
For family carers, knowing someone they love is supported also creates space to rest and look after their own needs.
Help people keep hold of what makes life theirs.
Your donation helps sustain care, connection and meaningful moments for people living with dementia, while bringing reassurance to those who love them.
