Understand the often hidden impact of caring for someone living with dementia. Shaped by carers’ own experiences, we have created this booklet to offer practical advice for family, friends and professionals on how to provide meaningful support.
They’re looking after someone they love. Who’s looking out for them?
Caring for someone living with dementia can touch every part of a person’s life - from their health and relationships to their finances and sense of identity. Much of that impact can go unseen, and asking for help isn’t always easy.
Our Supporting Dementia Carers booklet brings together carers’ own experiences to help family, friends and professionals better understand what caring can feel like - and how to offer meaningful support.
Co-created with carers, including members of our Harbour of Hope group, it explores the emotional and practical challenges they may face, with simple suggestions for making a difference. From starting an honest conversation to helping with paperwork, small actions can help someone feel less alone.
