Join a team that cares for you!

Leave a legacy of care, hope, purpose and dignity.

After providing for those you love, you can help ensure no one in Kent faces dementia without compassion, dignity and support.

The lasting impact of a gift in your will

Leaving a gift in your will to us helps ensure families facing dementia receive the support they need - at every stage of their journey.

Your gift could help provide:

  • Expert guidance from the point of symptom suspicion, when questions feel overwhelming and clarity is vital.

  • Ongoing, compassionate and consistent support for people living with dementia throughout their journey.

  • Practical advice and respite for carers, helping them continue in their vital role with understanding and confidence.

  • Community services that reduce isolation, creating connection, purpose and belonging.

  • Timely, practical help, when it is needed most.

We understand that your first priority is providing for your family and friends. Many of our supporters choose to leave a gift after ensuring their loved ones are cared for. Even a small percentage of your estate can create lasting, meaningful impact.

There are several ways to leave a gift in your will:

  • Residuary gift – a percentage of your estate

  • Pecuniary gift – a fixed sum

  • Specific gift – a particular item of value

Every gift, whatever its size, strengthens our ability to plan for the future, develop innovative services, and continue standing beside families with compassion, expertise and understanding.

Your kindness today could create moments of dignity, connection and comfort for generations to come.

Leaving a gift in your will is now simple, secure and professionally supported.

We have partnered with Make a Will Online to offer our supporters a straightforward online will-writing service, reviewed by a qualified solicitor. You can create or update your will by them here.

The process is clear and easy to follow, guiding you step by step. Every will is carefully checked by a fully qualified solicitor to ensure it is legally valid and accurately reflects your wishes. If you have legal questions along the way, expert support is available as part of the service.

For added peace of mind, the service also includes complimentary access to Capacity Vault - helping to safeguard your Will and reduce the risk of it being challenged in the future.

Planning ahead has never been more accessible - or more secure.

For some people, speaking directly with a solicitor is the right choice. A face-to-face appointment can be particularly important if:

  • You already have an established relationship with a solicitor

  • Your estate exceeds the current Inheritance Tax threshold, check limits here

  • Your affairs are more complex, for example involving trusts or overseas assets

  • There are considerations relating to medication, mental capacity, or a dementia-related condition

In these circumstances, we recommend arranging an appointment with a qualified solicitor who can provide tailored legal advice.

You can find a regulated solicitor in your area through the Law Society website by clicking here.

If you decide to leave a gift to us in your Will, please ensure your solicitor includes our full charity details exactly as follows:

Charity name: Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Services
Charity number: 1173379
Registered address: Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Services, Safeharbour Memory Wellbeing Centre, Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, GRAVESEND DA11 8AE

Is there any obligation to leave a gift?
No. The service is completely free to use and there is no obligation to include a gift to us. We simply hope you will consider supporting our work if it feels right for you.

What type of gift can I leave?
Many supporters choose to leave a percentage of their estate, as this keeps their gift proportionate over time. You may also choose to leave a fixed sum or a specific item of value.

Is online Will writing secure?
Yes. Our partner provides a secure, legally recognised online Will-writing service, with every Will reviewed by a qualified solicitor for added reassurance.

Can I speak to someone at ADSS?

Yes, of course. If you would like to talk through your options or have any questions about leaving a gift in your Will, we are here to help.

Gemma will be happy to provide information and support, with no obligation.

When you make a will online, we receive limited information such as confirmation that a will has been created, the type of gift included, and basic personal details (for example, your name, year of birth, email address and postal address). This information allows us, where consent is given, to thank you and keep in touch appropriately.

We completely understand that some supporters prefer to make a will and leave a gift in confidence. If you would prefer for us to not receive any details about your will, you can select this when creating the online will.

However, you choose to remember Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Services, please know that we are deeply grateful for your kindness and support. If you are ready to make or update your will online through our trusted partner please visit them here

Choosing to leave a gift in your will is a deeply personal decision - one that speaks to the values you carry through your lifetime.

We are incredibly grateful to the supporters who choose to remember ADSS in this meaningful way. Their generosity does more than fund services. It helps create moments of connection, understanding and shared laughter. It ensures families facing dementia are supported, seen and never alone.

A gift in your will becomes part of someone else’s story - helping them continue to make meaningful moments together.
