About this support

Caring for a loved one with dementia can be both rewarding and challenging. Our Carers’ Learning Group is a free four-week programme designed to help unpaid carers feel more informed, more confident and better supported as they navigate the dementia journey alongside the person they care for.

Led by experienced dementia specialists, each weekly three-hour session explores key topics including understanding dementia, responding to changes in behaviour, legal and financial planning, respite options, future care planning, care homes, end-of-life support, and practical ways to live well with dementia.

Alongside expert guidance, the programme offers a valuable opportunity to meet other carers, share experiences, build friendships and gain support from people who truly understand. Many carers tell us that the connections they make are just as important as the knowledge they gain.

Places are limited and booking is essential. Eligible unpaid carers can self-refer or be referred by their Dementia Coordinator. To register your interest in an upcoming programme, please complete our online booking form below and a member of the team will be in touch.
