ADSS wins national award for outstanding “Support at Home” dementia care service

ADSS (Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Services) is proud to announce that its Support at Home service has been recognised on the national stage, winning a prestigious award from Journal of Dementia Care Awards for excellence in dementia care.

The award celebrates ADSS’s innovative, fully integrated approach to supporting people living with dementia in their own homes - an approach that is transforming lives across Kent and setting a new benchmark for person-centred care.

While many services operate in isolation, ADSS has developed a fully integrated model of care that connects home support with a specialist day centre, dementia coordinators and hospital-based support - all delivered within one organisation, one culture and one shared responsibility, meaning people and their families experience continuity and reassurance at every stage of their dementia journey.

Katie Antil, Chief Executive, commented “This national award is a powerful recognition of our team and the difference truly person-centred, connected care can make. At ADSS, everything we do starts with the belief that people living with dementia deserve to be seen, heard and valued as individuals. This award reflects the compassion, dedication and professionalism of our team, who go above and beyond every day to ensure that no one faces dementia alone.”

ADSS’s latest success follows further national recognition at the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards 2026, where the organisation was named winner of the Dementia Care category. Together, these awards highlight the strength and consistency of ADSS’s person-centred, joined-up approach, and reinforce its growing reputation as a leader in innovative dementia care across Kent and Medway.
