ADSS (Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Services) Dementia Coordinators to offer free drop-in clinics every Monday and Tuesday throughout Alzheimer’s Month
People worried about memory loss will be able to access free, specialist dementia advice at Bluewater throughout September, as ADSS takes its Dementia Coordinator service directly into the heart of the community.
To mark Alzheimer’s Month, ADSS’s specialist Dementia Coordinators will be based at the Bluewater Community Space, near HMV, every Monday and Tuesday throughout September, offering free drop-in clinics for anyone with questions or concerns about dementia.
No appointment or referral is needed.
The sessions are open to anyone concerned about changes in their own memory or that of someone close to them, as well as people already living with a dementia diagnosis, family members and carers looking for guidance and support.
The dementia journey can bring questions and challenges at every stage. It might begin with the first changes in memory and uncertainty about what they mean. Later, it could be understanding a diagnosis, adapting to changing needs, maintaining independence, supporting a carer or recognising when additional care and support may be needed.
Wherever someone is on that journey, ADSS is there.
Our Dementia Coordinators provide a consistent source of knowledge, guidance and understanding – helping people and families navigate what can often feel like a complicated and changing path. They take the time to understand what matters to each person, answer the questions that arise along the way and connect families with the right support as their needs change.
