Help people hold on to what matters.

A favourite activity. A familiar routine. Being welcomed by people who know you. These things remain important when someone is living with dementia.

At The Beacon Day Centre, specialist care, meaningful activities and friendships help people enjoy their day and continue taking part in life. For family carers, that trusted support creates time to rest, attend appointments or look after their own needs.

In 2025/26, 117 people attended The Beacon, with 4,054 attendances. Through Beacon Buddies, members also shared games, crafts and stories with local schoolchildren, building friendships across generations.

One carer captured what this means: “My wife is always smiling when I come to pick her up from day club.”

Your donation helps sustain support that recognises the person behind the diagnosis and makes a difference to the whole family.

Donate £50 through our Big Give campaign page from 1st-8th December and it could become £100, at no extra cost to you.
